Biography – Michael T. Gaffney

Michael T. Gaffney is a seasoned finance professional with more than two decades of experience in mortgage lending, credit solutions, and consumer advocacy. Based in New York City, Michael has built his career on a foundation of trust, service, and results, consistently exceeding performance goals while guiding clients through some of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

Over the years, Michael has held leadership and lending roles at some of the nation’s largest financial institutions, including Citibank, Bank of America, HSBC, and JPMorgan Chase. In these positions, he partnered with real estate agents, attorneys, and financial professionals to serve mutual clients, conducted seminars for first-time homebuyers, and mentored new mortgage originators. His ability to navigate complex income structures and work with high-net-worth individuals has earned him a reputation for discretion, accuracy, and professionalism.

Earlier in his career, Michael managed a branch at Excelsior Mortgage, where he oversaw hiring, training, and motivating employees across both operations and sales. He began his journey in the mortgage industry at Homestead Funding Group, where his drive and determination quickly led to success in a competitive, fast-paced environment.

Michael is proficient in a wide range of industry tools and platforms, including Salesforce, Empower, Calyx Point, Desktop Underwriter, and Loan Prospector, and has deep knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines.

Today, Michael brings together his extensive lending background and his passion for consumer empowerment through his work at MTG Credit Solutions, where he helps individuals repair, rebuild, and protect their credit. His mission is simple: to educate and motivate clients to take control of their financial future with confidence and clarity.
